The positives, they were quick and its extremely convenient located on the board walk. Thats about it though. Service was unfriendly and the pizza is below average and pricy for what you're getting. Walk a little further for better food elsewhere.

I personally love me some Tony's Pizza! Crybabies with tell you the slice it small, and it is, but where else can you get the slice, that tastes so nice. I recommend getting slices (one at a time) and eating them out front, and watching just how many pies they go through, they move some Pizza Pie through the rotating oven, which it fun to watch, while you eat. Hypnotizing and delicious! Tony's Pizza

Stopped in for a quick slice, and a cold pint! Awesome pizza and cold beer! If you can, sit outside on second floor. It is worth it. Service a little slow, but it is oc. Why would you be in a rush? Kick it back, relax and smell the roses! I am an ococal, and I recommend tonys pizza. Peace.

Roof top was good and it is nice if you want carry your stroller and kids up there skinny stairway. Service sucked and pizza tasted like carboard. For everybody in there being Itilian you would think someone would know how to make a pie.

A trip to the beach would not be complete without a trip to the Boardwalk and dinner at Tony's Pizza. It has a large corner spot on the Boardwalk near the Edwards store and the amusement park. The restaurant has indoor seating downstairs and a large deck upstairs. We always pick the upstairs deck. The food is good and the servings are huge. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer. The calamari was crispy fried and not at all rubbery. The sauce on the side was a little watery. We ordered the extra large pizza to serve four people. It was a lot of pizza, but very good. Lots of sauce, cheese and toppings. The crust was traditional style - not too thin, not too thick.

Great view of ocean city. Pizza is whatev (chicken was bland). Mozarella sticks were alright. Calamari was alright.

It is rare for me to give a low rating, as I normally give places the benefit of the doubt. Each time I have gotten Tony's Pizza, it has been carry-away right on the boardwalk. The pizza is okay, but it is quick, so it works. This last visit, we decided to go inside for a table so we could sit down, but we didn't even get to eat. My wife took our toddler into the bathroom and that was the end of our visit. The restroom was completely filthy and not even usable. We actually had to get up from our table and leave, with a toddler who had to use the rest room - we had to find somewhere else quickly for him to use. Hopefully they fix this - it seems to be a common complaint here. There is no excuse for the conditions that we witnessed. I highly suggest you check this yourself before considering eating the food here.

The pizza and location were great . I recommend to sit outside on the upper deck so you can see all the activity on the boardwalk. . The big minus was the price ... Very very expensive . I guess you pay for the view .

  • Alissa M.

I love pizza and couldn't eat one slice. It was very greasy and just didn't taste good. I also had the boardwalk fries and they were way too oily and just gross as well. It was also more expensive than it should have been but I understand the cost on the boardwalk, but that usually comes with quality, not in this case.

    (1)
  • Gary O.

The view, boardwalk front if you can get it, is really nice. The pizza is fairly good-a bit greasy. But the wine is cheap. The dinners are expensive and not all that great especially for the price.

  • Audrey H.

Over priced! $24 for a Large 16" pizza with terrible crust. My 7 year old could make a better pizza. Calamari tasted like fried rubber bands. Avoid at all cost!

    (1)
  • Derek K.

Pizza had been made with cheap ingredients, even though the price was outrageous. Restaurant was littered with much garbage and it felt filthy just to sit down. Pizza was horrible, especial considering the price. Even the bathrooms were disgusting and service was terrible.

  • Roman R.

This place sucks. I ordered blue moon on tap and there was no orange slice, which wasn't so bad but my beer was in a plastic mug. I got some bread sticks and they had mold on it and they tasted horrible!

  • Greg H.

Crap pizza, dirty dining room, filthy restrooms, poor service, over-priced.

    (1)
  • Barney D.

avoid at all costs. Over priced horrible pizza. Pizza at take out window might be ok if you are on the beach and hungry but do not pay extra for sit down seating upstairs. Two Pizzas cost me $70 with drinks Dirty Dirty Dirty. If you do not believe me just go in bathrooms before sitting down. Go somewhere else or pack a PB&J

  • Local E.

The pizza is quite bad: basic "Ritz Cracker" crust, too much cheese, overpriced. But hey it's pizza on a boardwalk, it's bound to suck.

    (1)
  • Reem C.

This pizza is absolutely awful. I'm not sure what kind of dough they used, but it had a stale taste to it after just coming out of the oven. There are way too many pizza spots on the boardwalk. If you're in Ocean City and you're walking along the boardwalk, do yourself a favor and get your pizza elsewhere.

    (1)
  • Melissa V.

Horrible service. No one speaks English and the waiters don't even know what happy hour. The roof top is horribly designed so if you don't have a big party they will not let you sit where you have a the view of the beach. They make you sit in front of a brick wall. Do not care about u at all.

  • Libby D.

Gross! It's sad because my dad said it used to be good back in the day. Can't believe I actually paid $28 for a pizza that was cardboard with ketchup. The worst part, there was no soap in the bathrooms, even after asking the waitress twice. It's funny cause there's a sign saying employees must wash hands too! Wish I would've kept on walking! Save your money, definitely not worth it!

Typical boardwalk establishment. Dirty floors. Noisy. Worn out decor. But the pizza was good. Waitress was a bit dim but can't expect too much from a summer worker.

Keep walking. Sat outside but does that mean I should have to kick a pile of trash from under the table? Pizza was edible.

Like another beach area pizza place, the no free refills on drinks policy here is a downer. I almost understand the policy at this boardwalk/beach side location (as compared to Lombardi's on Coastal Highway which is well away from the beach/boardwalk) but it is still an irritant and just shows the establishment as cheap and not very hospitable to their clientele. The pizza here hasn't changed that much over the years. For some, that would be a good thing, for others, well it would seem to show a lack of initiative when it comes to their products. The crust on the pizza was crisp, though not too crisp (which would make it hard to chew). The cheese on the top was OK. Not overly abundant and hard to eat without choking on as I've seen people going to another beach area establishment (Dough Roller) had been at times for members of my family. The sauce was not plentiful enough to really comment on (I only ordered slices and didn't custom order a pie where I might have had the opportunity to customize things more). The pepperoni topping was run of the mill. In the end, nothing about the food or drink was all that exceptional or encouraging enough to make me want to go back for more in the future as I at one time might have done. The facilities have aged and not seen much improvement over the years that the restaurant has been opened in this location. In their glory years things looked OK and the food seemed good enough to go back for each time I was in the area. Now I could easily look up at the suspended ceiling and see pieces that needed to be replaced or that showed serious signs of age just as a lot of the rest of the facility seemed to. I realize that the place is a resort pizza parlor right on the boardwalk. Weathering various storms over the years probably hasn't helped things, but it seems like yet another restaurant I might see on a Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible type show where the cooks and owners think their recipes and food are much better than they really are, and where they haven't invested much back into the facility because they just don't have the money to do so or haven't wanted to do so with money they did have. In the end it leads to establishments circling the drain eventually failing. At one time I might have hated to see that happen to this place, but now I feel much like my opinion of the food - who cares?

Tony owns most of ocean city so he can make substandard pizza and who the hell cares. Tourists will happily walk in because it's a respectable safe place to eat for the family. I'd rather have imperfect pizza in a more professional location. Tony is a good guy as well, straight off the boat from Italy. There's not many of him left in America.

YUK. I expect to pay a premium for eating on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean, but here you will not only pay a premium but all the food is YUK. We had calamarie, the Mexican Pizza, and Tortellini. I make better calamarie and tortellini at home from frozen dinners. The salad was exactly like those salad bags from the grocery store and they added onions, jalepeno & olives (none of which I ate) and a soggy tomato. Even the breadsticks were burned on the bottom and not browned on the top and didn't come with butter. I didnt try the pizza but hubby said he only ate it because it was so expensive. My recommendation - go there if you are just looking for a drink and a nice view. If you want food, skip it.

NEWSFLASH! IT'S JUST PIZZA! RECOMMENDED IF YOU'RE NOT A STUFFY SNOB WITH A DISCRIMINATORY PALATE I hate Yelp trolls who just jump on the bandwagon of soiling a place. Since everyone and their mother below have learning disabilities, the staff is foreign. They come to OCM to work for the summer. It's a pizza place meant to get'em in and get'em out. TO THE FOOD: We ordered two larges with pepperoni. It's the usual hand tossed, big slice pizza you would expect from any big city joint. It wasn't gourmet, but it hit the spot as a place to get a slice or 16. It wasn't awful, and I found it good. PRICE: My only gripe is the price. $22 for a LARGE?!! Thank God I just wanted pizza and didn't care until after I got the receipt. Rent on the boards go up? EXPERIENCE: We carried out, so I can't speak to the dining area. Looks like a cafeteria setting, somewhat dirty, yet it's on the boardwalk and there are 100s of people who come in and out. You would expect it to get some filth.

Just Bad Pizza. I have tried pretty much all of Ocean City's pizza places. Tony's is really not good. I'll get to the taste.....the pizza was overcooked. The crust was like toast and the sauce was dried up and "blackened" by the overcooking (Black edges where it was bare on the crust.. Main reason the sauce was dried up is because there was not enough cheese to cover it, so it just cooked into the crust. Taste? Bland! simply not good. It is surprising that they stay in business with this product. Location is everything, I suppose.

We'd heard it was good and we went in for a meatball sub and a chicken steak sub. After taking our order and going to the kitchen, the waitress came back and said "we don't have any bread so you can't have that." We really didn't want pizza, so we left, noting the water-stained ceiling and general grubbiness of the place. This is just another joint that needs a makeover, not to mention a thorough cleaning. Supposedly the pizza is good, but we just didn't want to try that!

great location is the only "great" thing about this place. we complained and the only thing the owner said is that we talk too much. he doesn't deserve to be there.

Our waitress was super nice and attentive. We went there Saturday Night around 10pm and it was still super packed regardless of time. It was our second time there, and definitely coming back next time. On this day, we walked 20mins just to go eat there and it was totally worth it.

We were caught in an early morning rain with another couple. Among us we had five cold, wet, bored, hungry children. Pizza! Kids will eat pizza. Kids will accept pizza while waiting for sunny-happy-ocean-time. It was the first place we saw...we just really needed to get out of the rain...I know the Dough Roller was just a boardwalk block away...I know that NOW....but I didn't know it then...we just needed to make the misery stop.... But it didn't. From clueless waitress to ridiculous wait for two pepperoni pizzas (Busy hand-tossing dough back there? Carefully selecting the two most conventional toppings on planet Earth? Because I could have sworn the pizza we eventually received was on par with Chuck E. Cheese or Little Caesars......but okay....) bleh, meh and a dash of ugh.

0 STARS!! Crap, -5 stars! Avoid at all costs. Unless you enjoy microwaved frozen chicken combined with cardboard dry pizza in a cafeteria setting. Tourist trap. Sadly I think they may never change due to a great location. I never write reviews but felt compelled to stop anyone else from going there. Plus, I will sign up for yelp because that's the only way I can post this.

We were seated immediately and a waitress had a pitcher of water (at our request) on the table within 5 minutes, despite it being pretty busy. The pizza, at about $18 for a large cheese, wasn't bad--not the best, but certainly better than oversweet chain restuarant crap like Papa John's, Domino's, etc. The crust was just a little thick for this style of pizza, but again not horrible. I enjoyed the eastern european waitresses and staff, though I lamented that OCMD's decidedly white trash atmosphere is what they're going to be taking back to Europe with them. I just wanted to say, "this isn't the real america," but maybe it is. The bathrooms were just a bad as the other reviewers said. I'm a guy, so I've seen worse, but I wouldn't have sat down in there and my wife and daughters didn't. Overall, I'd probably give this a 2.5 stars if that was possible--just a tiny bit above average and, while not the best in town, way better than many of the other delivery and take out joints in town. Worth noting--if you want to sit outside on the second floor and enjoy the full boardwalk experience, your menu will be priced accordingly--that's right, it's more

Good pizza at affordable prices. Come here almost everytime I am in the area when I want a quick bite to eat.

We visited Tonys tonight for the first time in 8 years. I was surprised to see they changed something with the dough. The place was dirty. They haven't invested in up keep. Very disappointed. This used to be our favorite place for Pizza in OC.

I took my kids to eat lunch at Tony's Pizza right before we were going to leave to go home from our vacation at Ocean City. My family has vacationed at Ocean City every year for over 30 years and I thought I had some decent pizza from Tony's about 15 years ago. I learned just how much a business could change over the course of time when I found a DEAD BUG in my salad! Starting when we walked in I became wary about whether or not this was the right place to have our last meal before going home because our server was unfriendly, she took over 10 minutes just to bring our drinks, there were flies that were flying ALL over the restaurant and the floors were filthy. I ordered a salad and asked for bacon bits and tomatoes to be added to my salad. Our waitress brought me a salad but instead of bacon bits it had tons of what appeared to be under-cooked bacon fat that had been sloppily chopped and thrown all over a plate of limp lettuce. The tomato wedges were mealy and it was clear the tomato had gone bad. I asked for another salad without the bacon and she brought out the SAME plate (there were still bacon pieces at the bottom of the plate). She had just taken off the top part of my old salad and threw lettuce on top. I noticed black pieces of lettuce which indicated to me that some of the lettuce was rotten. I also noticed other pieces of lettuce that were yellow/green and slimy on the edges. When I picked up one of the slimy pieces of lettuce to observe it I noticed a DEAD BUG!!!! (I would post a photo that I took but can't figure out how to get it on with my review) The management didn't even apologize. They acted like it was nothing and told me that they wouldn't charge me for the salad!! I told them I didn't intend on paying for the salad and that I thought they would offer some other compensation for such a disgusting experience at their restaurant. They finally offered to have me pay just for the food I ordered but to do that, they broke it down into charging me by the slice instead of the whole pie which I was initially doing, and charging by the slice is more expensive. As soon as I returned home I notified the health department. To add insult to injury, I wasn't even half way out of the restaurant before our unfriendly waitress who took over 10 minutes to bring our drinks was rushing to the table to check and see if I gave her a tip. wow.

I don't understand the reviews below, this place was very nice ! We ate here for a late dinner and it was very nice ! We ordered a large plain pie , chicken wings and French fries . The pie was so good, thick and a lot of sauce; the French fries were the best thing ever ! And the chicken wings were okay not the best but whatever. Go here if your hungry but if your going to sit upstairs please bring a jacket it was so cold the other night !

Walking by, starving 10 pm, ordered mozzarella sticks and pepperoni pizza. Very disappointed in both. Bland, blah, I'd rather spend my calories eating something awesome, not some crappy pizza . Makes us sad, and it wasn't cheap!

We've always wanted to try the roof top of Tony's since it opened. We were hesitant because the last time we ate at Tony's it just wasn't that good. To be fair that was several years ago. Well today was the day! We waited until 5pm for the roof top to open and were led to our seats. Actually the waitress point up the stairs. We made it up the 2 flights of steps to wait for assistance. We got confusion. When the employees finally decided to wait on us we started to think we made a mistake. We were seated by 2 different employees who both seemed to be supervisors of some sort. The view was nice. We looked at the menus and the prices were a little high to say the least. We still wanted to do this so we made our selections and waited for service. 11 minuets later we got the attention of one of the servers. She says.. I'm sorry that's not my table. Another server looked over and said that's not my table. At 5:15pm no one came to wait on us so we went. The manager sitting at the door just let us walk out. Wow! I never give one star reviews that is until today.

I like the pizza and experience of this boardwalk eatery, but I do have to write that the bathrooms are HORRIBLE. I went in both these and the boardwalk one all in one day. Surprisingly, the boardwalk one was cleaner. I worry about restaurants with dirty bathrooms. Also, the pizza quality is less than it used to be twenty years ago. A major plus-it's pretty cheap and fast by the slice.

If I had a choice I'd give this place no stars. The wait staff are not bright at all! To to it off there was a largePIECE OF PLASTIC IN MY FOOD and I ALMOST CHOCKED ON IT. I posted the pic on the main sight. When I notified the waitress of the plastic and that I almost chocked on it she looked at me as if I were stupid. All that food went to waste. She didn't even offer anything. But I wouldn't expect that bc none of them were smart at all. A d for the food well I would rather eat a tv dinner

  • Dena Q.

It's getting a star because the waitresses are super nice and the pizza is "ehh okay". Very very overpriced like $18 for a cheese pizza that isn't special. Considering you get paper plates and no free refills on anything except water it shouldn't be this expensive. We have eaten on the outside patio server all times and recently ate inside and it hit us that they charge WAY more to eat upstairs and outside than they do if you eat inside. The menu and prices could have changed but I am pretty sure they charge more to eat outside. Also forget about going there 4th of July they charge $20 per person to eat outside. No other restaurant does that on the boardwalk! Oh and no splitting checks either. Surprised this place is still in business.

Agreed this is not so good pizza. The starter tastes like a pretzel starter and is too dense. It close to the beach and walking distance to activities. 2 stars for beach access (location) otherwise. I can't say much about the place.

One of our go to spots for very good pizza in OCMD. This time we went late In the season so the upstairs section wasn't open unfortunately. Quick and friendly service but I've only ever had their pizza.

Tony's pizza is really good! The funny thing is when we were here last Saturday, pizza was the last thing we wanted to eat! We only ate at Tony's because it was pretty close to the action when the Dew Tour was going on. We wanted to get a good spot to watch the Kid Cudi concert, so we couldn't walk too far away on the boardwalk. I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to pizza, but Tony's pizza was very good. I didn't really like eating inside the actual restaurant because it was full of flies, but I guess that's to be expected at the beach.

My wife and I just went there Friday night. Unbelievable poor service. We asked for 2 Yuenglings and she brought us 2 Lite beers. She set them down at the end of the table, not in front of us. I looked at the beer and knew it wasn't what we had ordered. When I asked her to bring the correct beer she walked away, then came back and said that they were out of Yuengling. So I asked for a Pepsi-she never brought it. My wife asked for any beer that was not a light beer-she said they didn't have any because they had only opened for the season 2 weeks ago. So she asked for a glass of merlot, the waitress left, came back and said they didn't have any. I almost thought a crew with a hidden camera was going to appear and say we'd been punked! We had already placed the order for the small (18.99) pizza but judging by this we decided to leave. I can't believe any establishment would have hired this girl as a waitress. It was 8:30 Friday night and the place wasn't very busy so it didn't make sense to let business walk out the door. We had been there last summer and thought the pizza was very expensive but also decent and we were in the mood for some. This waitress couldn't have cared less. Thanks for Nuttin' Tony's!

Great pizza, right on the boardwalk, upstairs outdoor seating, good atmosphere

  • Karen B.

Is this place a hole-in-the-wall? Yes. Do they serve good pizza? Yes. I would never recommend coming here for a fine dining experience, but it's great if you are looking a quick slice of pizza on the boardwalk. Like most places on the OC Boardwalk, it is older and not exactly up to date (Formica tables and dated furniture), but chances are you will be visiting them in your tank top & flip flops covered in sand. Don't order an pasta entree or appetizer - just go straight for the pizza.

    (3)
  • John S.

Wanted to stop in for a quick slice and to escape the heat but it was hotter inside than outside, so we left. As for the pizza, the last time we went there in 2012 it wasn't very good but we thought maybe we'd give it another chance. Oh well.

    (1)
  • Samantha F.

Two stars, only because I felt bad for posting one. My father says he used to come here awhile ago, and we came down for the day, and we decided to eat here; terrible. The pizza was okay, but we ordered a large cheese pizza with extra cheese and lightly baked, they came with a burnt pizza, I ordered chicken fingers because I don't like pizza, and they weren't the best, but not the worst. They sat us at a table that had a leaky ceiling, and was leaking and dripping all over the floor and on my chair. Keep walking, not worth it!!

Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
